Advanced ECG/
Monitor Technician

This course provides basic instruction in the techniques of proper electrode placement and understanding of the waveforms produced by the electrical activity of the heart.

This knowledge is then expanded to include analysis of these waveforms to identify abnormal heart rhythms.

The information assists physicians in diagnosing several types of heart disorders or alerting medical personnel of a problem if the patient is being monitored on telemetry (in a hospital setting).
