Medical Transcription

A comprehensive course that blends technical ability with medical knowledge to prepare students for employment in a physician's office, hospital or home based business.

Students will learn to proficiently transcribe and type medical reports, chart notes and letters.

Will also become familiar with essential transcription equipment, stressing the use of a dictation unit and computer skills.

• 152 Hours - includes individual instruction.
• Prerequisite: Medical Terminology and Transcription Fundamentals (included in tuition), followed by individually scheduled transcription sessions until all case studies are completed.
• Basic computer/typing skills required
