Description
After completing prerequisite classes in medical terminology, phlebotomy, administrative front office and electrocardiography. The course presents additional clinical procedures and theory. This training includes gathering information and completing medical documents, assisting with physical examinations, gynecological procedures, and pediatric care. Advanced clinical practice introduces sterile procedures, minor office surgery, pharmacology and drug calculations, administration of medications, understanding and performing laboratory procedures. Empathy, compassion, confidentiality, ethical and legal standards, and professionalism are emphasized throughout the course. Training includes general office duties, management, communication, medical records, and computer skills. Students will be eligible for the National Exam upon successful completion of the course. Eighteen-week courses (184 hours and 40 hours of clinical training is required). Fourteen-week course (122 hours with 24 hours clinicals). Clinical Practice as scheduled.

The Medical Assistant course is designed to equip students with the advanced knowledge and practical skills necessary to perform professionally in medical offices and clinical settings. Building on foundational coursework in medical terminology, phlebotomy, administrative front office procedures, and electrocardiography, students will gain hands-on experience in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. Training includes assisting with physical exams, gynecological and pediatric procedures, performing sterile techniques, minor office surgeries, pharmacology, medication administration, and laboratory procedures. Emphasis is placed on empathy, compassion, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical and legal standards. Students will also develop strong communication, computer, and office management skills. Upon successful completion of the 18-week program—including 184 classroom hours and 40 hours of clinical training—students will be eligible to sit for the National Certification Exam.
Clinical practice
Your clinical training will be held in a long-term care facility. Students will be able to become eligible for State Certification with successful completion of this course. The course is Eighteen weeks, 184 hours in total with 40 clinical hours. Clinical practice will be as scheduled.
